Founded in 2001 as the first SWIFT Service Bureau in the Americas for banks and corporates at the behest of SWIFT, Axletree’s mission is to deliver peace of mind through innovative technology and an unrivaled client experience.

Axletree delivers bank connectivity, integration, transformation, reporting and related business insights to our clients and prospects.  Axletree maintains a strong core competency in providing clients with connectivity to SWIFT and host-to-host solutions. We also provide payment format translation for outbound and/or inbound payments and reporting, as well as helping customers with systems integration. We offer a robust reporting tool for consolidation and translation of reporting from multiple sources as well as business intelligence on financial message flows.

Connecting to SWIFT and to banks requires technical investments and human resourcesincluding subject matter expertise. Our solutions are hosted on our private cloud. We maintain a highly secure private cloud with 99.99% availability (outside of scheduled maintenance downtimes). 

Our solution is offered on a “zero-footprint” basis. There is no installation of any hardware or software within our clients’ environments for our solutions.

Yes, our private cloud is accessible via a secure IPSEC VPN or a private AVPN serviceexcept for our Treasurytree and Insights solutions which are hosted over the Internet. 

Yes. Our connection is protected with TLS 1.2 encryption that sits behind a point-to-point encrypted connection to our client sites. Data at rest is protected with AES-256.

As per federal requirements, all transactional data is securely retained for 7 years. At Axletree, we store data for up to 10 years. 

In hot storage, data is held for 6 months. In warm storage, data is stored for 2 years. In cold storage, data is stored for 7 years before it is destroyed. At Axletree, we store data for up to 10 years.

Yes, multi-factor authentication is mandatory for connection to several of our hosted applications. We provide both hard and soft 2-factor authentication tokens, according to your preference. 

We deliver 99.99% uptimes for all of our solutions. 

Maintenance and upgrades are scheduled during the weekly maintenance windows. Advance notice of these extended upgrade and maintenance activities are provided one month in advance. 

Yes, with all implementations we provide access to both the Production environment and the User Acceptance Testing environment where you can ensure everything is working for your organization as intended. We also provide Disaster Recovery environments to provide safeguards and backups to ensure service continuity.
